Membership Information Pro Rata
If you're currently on the look out for a dog trainer or dog club, consider Knox Obedience Dog Club. All of our trainers are fully qualified volunteers who have trained their own dogs at KODC, and we have a proud history of producing Trialed and Champion dogs.
Because Knox Obedience Dog Club is a not for profit, volunteer organization, we are able to keep the prices to a minimum.
New Puppy and Beginners classes begin on the first Sunday of each month
The Club membership office is open from 8:30am to 9:15am on the first Sunday of each month (excluding January). We ask all new members to sign up early to ensure classes can start on time. Please refer to the training page for clarification on class levels and times. To become a member of KODC you will need to complete a membership form and please ensure you bring a current vaccination certificate.
While new members are welcome to join the club any Sunday, it is important to remember that due to the class cycles, members need to wait until the first Sunday of the month before actually joining classes. Of course, we welcome observers at any time. Exceptions may be made for members transferring to Knox from another Club.
During the sign up process, please be patient as the volunteers at the club train their dogs as well and may be in a class. Club volunteers can be identified by Blue Instructor tops and club committee members will have committee printed on their name badges.
Prospective members are encouraged to visit the club any Sunday morning to view our facilities and to obtain advice on training equipment and advice on purchasing a puppy to suit your lifestyle.

The Knox Obedience Dog Club is one of Australia's largest Dog Obedience Clubs. Formed in 1967, the Knox Obedience Dog Club is a Non-Profit Organization, totally volunteer operated, with all committee, instructors and helpers giving their time freely to help dog owners from Knox and surrounding areas train their dog.
We have a wonderful club house situated in Knox Park on land leased from the City Of Knox. The clubhouse is the result of members hard work over many years and is owned by the Knox Obedience Dog Club Inc.
We Offer
Basic Obedience Instruction and Agility Training
Knox offers a complete training program, for puppies starting at 16 weeks and any age up. After learning basic skills, dogs are able to move into higher level training programs designed to provide the skills required to complete formal trials.
Obedience Ring Craft Training
Ring craft is an essential element of trialing, and Knox provides one on one instruction for dogs aiming to achieve titles.
Club House and Canteen
Offering a range of hot and cold drinks, snacks and some great home made food, the canteen is a popular pit stop for many members before and after training.
Dog Shop
We provide owners with a range of quality products, along with expert advice each Sunday morning.
Members Bar
For those who enjoy a frosty beverage and a great social environment, Knox offers a small licensed members bar.
Monthly Newsletter
Members are kept in the know with our monthly magazine, Paw Print. The magazine also appears on this web site and our Facebook group each month.
Social Activities
We host a range of regular social activities, including speakers from a wide variety of dog related professions. We also hold semi-regular dinners for our members.
Demonstration Team
Some of the stars at Knox form our Demonstration Team, who provide Obedience and Agility demonstrations at a wide range of events.
